Day 2 – Izetta Thomas

Izetta Thomas

Izetta Nicole writes semi-daily love notes for lunch boxes, happy faces with smelly markers, nerdy think pieces and poems. While adulting, she has the pleasure of teaching 3-6 year olds with special needs (a.k.a. super powers) as well as serving as an activist and/or union thug. Izetta Nicole has competed in local, regional and national poetry slams. In 2011, she earned the right to compete in the Boston/Cambridge area in the National Poetry Slam as a member of the Writer’s Block poetry slam team. She also represented Writing Wrongs in the Women of the World Poetry Slam in 2013. Izetta continues to write and perform poetry in her hometown, and is a contributing writer for blacknerdproblems.

On Thursday, March 2, Izetta Thomas will be performing a set of original work followed by a brief Q&A.
